Performative dinner with joint reading

In the autumn, in collaboration with the restaurant FAR, Fra ord til platerne, and Kasper Hesselbjerg, we invite you to three performative dinners with joint reading.

The arrangements are facilitated by From Word to Plate and are based on visual artist Kasper Hesselbjerg's work “Kawaii organ relationship soup”. The evening will be preceded by a guided community reading, which will develop into a performative dinner, performed and served by restaurant FAR.

Kasper Hesselbjerg's work is a textual work that combines recipe and essay - specifically, a recipe for chicken soup made for a person who is sick, focusing on the functions and cultural meanings of organs. For mercy exists, for example, in the heart, and how do we listen to our gut feeling? The text thematizes caring and our connection to the outside world and those with whom we share it.

Together we invite you to an evening of new flavors and conversations about our food cultures.

The events will take place in parallel with Kasper Hesselbjerg's participation in the group exhibition IN PROTEST AND IN CARE at O-Overgaden (29 August - 25 October 2026) .

All food served is vegetable-based and vegetarian.
